As Stone Hollow Farmstead celebrates its 44th season of sharing fresh farm boxes with the Birmingham community, we're excited to announce the presale of our Spring 2024 season. Beginning March 18th, this ten-week journey offers more than just fresh produce; it's an opportunity to be part of a community deeply rooted in Alabama’s rich farming heritage.
WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE:
Weekly Harvest Boxes: Each week, receive a box filled with the season’s best — including organically or locally grown vegetables, fruits, artisanal bread, and pasta. These aren't just ingredients; they reflect our commitment to sustainable agriculture and community support.
Enjoy weekly unique additions like our rainbow eggs and freshly baked bread from Hinkel’s Bakery. There's also the option to add a weekly bouquet of fresh, vibrant cut flowers to your home.
Here is a sampling of crops planned for our Stone Hollow Farmstead Gardens Spring 2025:
— Fruits: Strawberries, Raspberries
— Root Veggies: Baby Beets, Carrots, Parsnips, Bunching Onions, Radishes
— Brassicas: Arugulas, Kales, Chicories, Broccolini, Cauliflowers, Microgreens, Bok Choys, Cabbages, Pea Tendrils
— Salad Greens: Baby Greens, Bibb Lettuces
— Spring Herbs and edible Flowers: Dill, Chive, Parsley, Cilantro, Celery, Nasturtiums, Wild Violets
In addition to these items, we collaborate with farmer friends who share our commitment to quality and sustainable practices, ensuring a variety of exceptional produce and goods for our CSA members. This list will vary weekly, but we strive to provide the very best from us and our local agriculture community.
Culinary Adventure: Dive into culinary creativity with our expertly crafted recipes and tips in our weekly CSA blog. As part of our community, you'll also receive our exclusive produce care guide, enhancing your experience with every box.
FLEXIBLE OPTIONS & ROLL-OVER WEEKS
Roll-Over Weeks: If you're out of town or can’t pick up your box, no problem. Choose to roll over your week to an 11th week, or share the joy by having a loved one or friend pick up your box. We just ask for a 72-hour notice! It's a fantastic way to share or enjoy that week's curated selection.
EASY PICK-UP AT FARMSTAND OR HOME DELIVERY
Convenient Pick-up or Delivery: Collect your weekly farm box every Tuesday at FarmStand in historic Pepper Place, from noon to 6pm. Prefer home delivery? We offer this service for an additional charge. Simply add this option at checkout. Delivery will also occur every Tuesday.
