Returns & Refunds at Stone Hollow Farmstead
We take great care in packing and shipping your order, and we want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If any non-perishable item arrives damaged, please email us at orders@stonehollowfarmstead.com within 48 hours of delivery. Your email must include photos of the damaged item, as well as images of both the inner and outer packing for us to create a claim and accept your return or replacement. Submissions that do not include images are not subject to refunds and replacements. Our team will provide instructions for how to move forward with a replacement or refund. Damaged items must be returned within 15 days of delivery.
Please note that all sales of perfumes, fresh flowers, and seasonal CSA or Flower Share programs are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Our return and refund policy does not apply to dahlia tubers, cuttings, or other dahlia-related products. Please read below for specific information on Dahlia orders.
Dahlia Tuber + Cutting Terms and Conditions
We ship dahlia tubers and cuttings within the United States. We do not ship internationally at this time.
The tubers are sold as one viable tuber, not a clump.
This is a pre-ordered product and no refund will be available.
Order Fulfillment & Shipping:
Please note - Items in your cart are not reserved and are only secured once checkout is fully complete. If something disappears from your cart or changes to “unavailable” during checkout, it means another customer completed their purchase first. We understand this can be frustrating - unfortunately it’s a limitation of the way our website processes orders and not something we are able to override.
After placing your dahlia order, you will have a 7-day window to make any additions or adjustments. If you'd like to order more items after that timeframe, simply place a new order. While we can’t guarantee that multiple orders will ship together, we’re always happy to try and combine them in the spring. Orders are combined at the time of shipping only. If we’re able to do so and the shipping cost is reduced, we’ll gladly refund the difference.
We fulfill shipments based on the order in which they are received and time them according to growing zones, taking into account weather conditions in both our area and yours. You will receive an email with tracking information as soon as your order is on the way.
Dahlia tubers and cuttings will begin shipping the month of March 2026 as the zones warm. We will be completed with shipping by May 2026.
Dahlia Tuber + Cuttings Order Review & Claims:
We guarantee our tubers arrive with a viable eye and cuttings are in good condition and both are true to variety name or your product will be replaced the following season. Tubers vary in size and some may show slight signs of shrivel but will grow just fine.
When you receive your shipment check immediately for condition and confirm the name stamped on tubers is what you ordered. If your order has any issues you must email orders@stonehollowfarmstead.com with images of the problem within 7 days of delivery. After that window, the buyer assumes full responsibility - unless the tuber is not true to name. If not true to name, please notify us by September 1, 2026, and include a photo of the plant. We’ll be happy to offer a replacement or credit for the following season. Please note that we cannot offer replacements for damage caused by pests, environmental conditions, or lack of blooming. We cannot be responsible for weather issues, pest damage, or poor growing conditions in general.
Incorrect bloom identification problems with dahlia tubers or rooted cuttings must be reported by September 1st of the year they were ordered. This guarantee is limited to the purchase price of tubers or cuttings only, and does not include shipping fees or liability or damages from losses resulting from crop failure. Reselling tubers or cuttings originally purchased from Stone Hollow Farmstead voids any and all guarantees on the products.
Stone Hollow Farmstead will not accept responsibility for post-shipment storage or planting conditions and therefore will not refund dahlia tuber and cutting orders that suffer from these circumstances.
Please plant your dahlias after your usda growing zone's last frost date, and follow the detailed growing instructions we include with your shipment. Your dahlia tubers should sprout within 5 weeks after planting. If they fail to sprout within 6 weeks after planting, please email us immediately at orders@stonehollowfarmstead.com.
Tubers are shipped in vermiculite and names are stamped on each tuber.
Packed in each shipment is a card with Deborah Stone’s contact info. Please save this in your phone.
If it happens that your dahlia is not the variety that you ordered, email or text immediately with a photo of the bloom and your order number. We will ship a replacement the following season.
Please note that all KA varieties of tubers and cuttings are trademarked and cannot be resold. This does not include cut flowers.
If you are looking for a variety that isn’t currently listed, it may be in limited supply. Feel free to email us to inquire. When emailing, please include the dahlia name in the subject line to help us keep track of your request.
