Bridging Seasons: From Summer's Heat to Autumn's Feast | Autumn CSA Week 1

Blooming Dahlia Field

Welcome to the 1st Week of the Fall CSA!

As the leaves begin to drop, which I'm convinced is due to the heat, we still look forward to the autumn season and cooler weather. I love summer. It's usually my favorite, but this year we're all eagerly awaiting fall! We're excited to present a bountiful selection from our dedicated local farms. Each has poured their passion into cultivating the finest produce, and we're thrilled to share their harvest with you:

Stone Hollow Farmstead
Elevate your mornings with farm-fresh eggs, plucked from contented hens. Indulge in the sweetness of currant tomatoes, savor the earthy delight of okra, and experience the juicy burst of Muscadines—a true embodiment of autumn's essence.

Love Light Farm
Add a pop of vibrant flavor with banana peppers from Love Light Farm. These zesty peppers are the perfect complement to your fall dishes, bringing a touch of warmth to every bite.

Habersham Farms
Discover the time-honored charm of heirloom tomatoes from Habersham Farms. Bursting with rich history and flavor, these tomatoes are a reminder of the agricultural heritage that shapes our seasons.

Hinkle Bread
Indulge in the rustic goodness of French batard bread from Hinkle's Bread. Crafted with care and expertise, this artisanal delight is a cornerstone of culinary traditions.

Mountain View Orchard
Delight in the crisp sweetness of Asian Pears and the classic allure of Golden Delicious Apples from Mountain View Orchard. These fruits embody the orchard's dedication to growing produce that captures the essence of the season.

Clanton
Nourish your soul with the comfort of butter beans and the grounding presence of red potatoes from Clanton. These staples offer the heartwarming flavors of fall, a reminder of the sustenance that the earth provides.

As you embrace the changing landscape and indulge in the treasures of autumn, remember that your CSA membership not only supports local farmers but also fosters a connection to the land and the communities that thrive upon it. Here's to a season of abundance and culinary exploration!
