Week Seven | Celebrating Dahlia Day & Farm Fresh Goodies

What’s Happening on the Farm

This week at Stone Hollow Farmstead has been one for the books! We were thrilled to host our long-anticipated Fourth Annual Dahlia Day event this past Sunday. For those of you who joined us, we loved having you! With over 250 guests, incredible food trucks, live music, beneficial insect releases in the garden, and our signature Stone Hollow tastings, it was a day to remember. As always, the event was all about dahlias, featuring educational sessions and the presale of our tubers and seedlings for next spring. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!

This week’s CSA is packed full of fresh, farm-grown goodness. You’ll enjoy rainbow eggs, crisp garden carrots, and delicious leeks straight from our fields. A special mention goes to the garlic chive blossoms—these delicate, edible blooms are packed with flavor and make a beautiful garnish on salads, pasta, or even scrambled eggs. Don’t forget to get creative and explore their culinary potential!

Alongside our farm offerings, we’ve partnered with some of our favorite local farms to bring you bell peppers, salad mix, and turnips from Love Light Farm, as well as cucumbers, squash, and pink-eye peas from Clayton’s. Plus, this week’s box features fresh ciabatta bread from Hinkles Bakery. Whether you’re roasting your veggies, tossing a salad, or enjoying fresh bread, this week’s CSA is a delicious one!
