Week Six | Harvesting Joy

What’s Happening on the Farm

Hi friends, we hope you all had a joyous Labor Day weekend filled with laughter, family, and delicious meals. This week, we're excited to share the bounty of our sixth week of our Late Summer CSA, featuring a mix of fresh produce from our farm and trusted local partners.

Stone Hollow Farmstead

Enjoy crisp garden carrots, green onions, lemongrass, farm-fresh rainbow eggs, fresh cow's milk, and our signature Bread and Butter Pickles from our fields. Our farmer friends at Love Light Farm brought us tender eggplant and braising arugula, while Hinkle’s Bakery supplies French Batard bread — perfect for any meal.

As we transition from summer to fall, expect to see the introduction of winter squashes and an array of greens starting next week. Our kitchen is bustling too, with preparations to make Dulce de Leche and more bread and butter pickles by the end of the week. The entire team, both indoors and out, is dedicated to prepping the farm for Dahlia Day this coming Sunday, September 8th. It's one of the few times a year we open our doors to the public, complete with food, flowers, live music, and the chance to engage with growers and garden lovers. Tickets are still available, and we'd love for you to join us and share this experience with friends and family.

Thank you for supporting our farm and participating in our CSA. We hope this week’s selection brings joy and flavor to your table.

Warm regards,

Deborah, Alexandra, and the Stone Hollow Farmstead Team
