Citron du Cap Dahlia

The Citron du Cap Dahlia is a true work of art, an elegant, laciniated variety whose golden-yellow blooms are kissed with a delicate blush. Each flower glows like soft sunlight filtered through morning mist, with finely fringed petals that dance in the breeze.

Introduced in 2001 from South Africa, Citron du Cap carries a bit of exotic charm to American gardens. Its blooms, medium-sized at 6–8 inches, are remarkably consistent, perfectly formed, luminous, and full of movement. On the show bench, it’s admired for its refined petal structure and cheerful color blend, while in the garden it brings warmth and texture. Gardeners love its strong stems, generous bloom habit, and excellent cut performance.

HOW IT WORKS |

This is a pre-purchase item as there is a limited number available.

Our team will dig the Dahlias in December, and divide them in January and February. Our tubers will ship in late March or early April depending on your growing zone. Our growing team recommends late March planting for our Alabama growers. Due to weather and Department of Agriculture requirements, we are unable to ship tubers early and our tubers are only available to ship within the United States.

Details and recommendations for that specific variety will be included in each bag. Dahlias come packed in peat moss.

Be sure to subscribe to our emails to be among the first to know when our dahlia tubers are available for sale each year. You may do this by subscribing below in the information box.
