Southern Smilax Base | Wreath

A natural ring of smilax vine, hand formed in our floral studio into a graceful base. Display it on its own for quiet, sculptural greenery, tie on a ribbon for a simple seasonal gesture, or use it as the starting form for a composed wreath. Smilax is loved for its flexible vine, airy drape, and effortless way of softening entries and mantels.

Each ring is made from real vine and will vary slightly in thickness, curl, and leaf presence.

Smilax, sometimes called greenbrier, is a woody vine with glossy leaves and twining tendrils. Designers prize it for length, flexibility, and the natural movement it brings to wreaths and installations.

The vine will dry in place while keeping its graceful line, which makes it useful for long lived decorative work and for reusing with fresh or dried botanicals.

• Display indoors or on a covered porch away from direct rain and heavy wind
• Smilax will naturally dry and can be reused with gentle handling
• Store flat in a rigid wreath box or the original shipper in a cool, dry place
• To design on the base, anchor stems with wire or tape and layer materials from largest to smallest for depth
