Celebrating the Close of Spring CSA: Week 10 at Stone Hollow Farmstead
As we wrap up the tenth and final week of our Spring CSA, we're filled with gratitude and excitement for the upcoming season. At Stone Hollow Farmstead, the pace is lively, and the fields are a flurry of activity.
This week, we're planting the last of our dahlia tubers—a labor of love we eagerly undertake each year. The anticipation builds as we look forward to the blooms that will soon grace our fields. Keep your eyes peeled for the announcement of our fourth annual Dahlia Day festival, a celebration of color and growth that highlights the beauty of these spectacular flowers.
As the spring season draws to a close, we're also shipping out the last of our Dahlia cuttings and savoring the lush, vibrant greens that this season's weather has blessed us with. Our flowers are thriving, and we're hoping this mild weather continues a bit longer before the summer heat sets in.
Looking ahead, we're excited about the array of produce that summer promises. Our fields and those of our farmer friends will soon be bursting with tomatoes, okra, watermelons, and an assortment of melons. Alongside our produce, we're particularly thrilled about concocting our heirloom Bloody Marys—a favorite treat and a fun perk of being part of our taste-testing team!
Below is what you'll find in the last box of our spring season. We hope you enjoy every item as much as we've enjoyed preparing them for you. Thank you so much for joining us this season; your support means the world to us. For those who wish to continue the journey, our Summer CSA is now live for sign-up on our website. We offer delivery options and would love to welcome you back for another season of fresh, local produce.
As always, we are grateful for your support and enthusiasm. Your participation not only sustains our farm but also strengthens our community of local growers and passionate food lovers. We look forward to welcoming you back for the Summer CSA and sharing more of the bounty and beauty that Stone Hollow Farmstead has to offer.
Until then, happy cooking and see you soon!
