Spring into Full Bloom: Week 6 of Our CSA Brings Flowers and Freshness
As the calendar pages turn, Stone Hollow Farmstead bursts into the full vibrancy of spring. With the arrival of the first poppies from our gardens to the shelves of our Farmstand retail store, we celebrate the transition from early to full spring blooms. The dahlias aren’t far behind, hinting at the lush displays we anticipate in just a few weeks.
Floral Festivities and Farm Updates
Our flower shop is bustling more than ever, providing an array of everyday floral options available for pick-up and delivery. As Mother’s Day approaches, we're meticulously preparing our special floral and gift box offerings to make the day memorable. Additionally, the recent cooler weekends have been a blessing, but they're also a reminder that the intense Alabama summer is just around the corner. To combat the upcoming heat, we've introduced new structures over our herb and flower boxes. These innovations allow us to adjust protection levels for our plants with various shade cloths and netting as needed, revolutionizing our approach to cultivating blooms in the demanding Southern climate.
