SUMMER WEEK ONE | Fresh Produce, Farm Updates, and Father's Day Fun!
Welcome to the first week of our Summer CSA! We are thrilled to have you join us for an exciting season of fresh, locally-grown produce and delightful farm experiences. Each week, you will receive a carefully curated box of seasonal goodies, along with insights into the farm’s activities and a selection of our favorite recipes to try with your produce.
What’s Happening on the Farm
Our team is buzzing with activity as we finalize planting the last of our tubers, bulbs, and seeds for the summer flower season. We are particularly excited about the new varieties of dahlias we have introduced this year. Mark your calendars for Dahlia Day in September!
Monroe, who turned two in February, is already showing her love for gardening by helping her "Glam" (Deborah) in the garden. It’s heartwarming to see the next generation get involved in farm life.
This past weekend was special as Jonathan, my brother-in-law, and a brilliant hobby gardener, came out to prune and check on these exceptional grapes that he planted last year that are now thriving. We can’t wait to see what he creates with them!
With the Alabama summer heat setting in, we’re busy setting up shade cloths and ensuring our irrigation systems are ready to keep our plants happy and healthy.

Don’t forget to visit our FarmStand, where we’ve just received new inventory perfect for gardening, hosting, and Father’s Day gifts. We have a dedicated table with a variety of offerings for Dad, so stop by Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm, or on Saturdays from 7am to 4pm. You can also find us at the Market at Pepper Place lot on Saturday mornings with fresh bouquets, plantable herbs, and more!
