Lemon Verbena Uses + Benefits

dried lemon verbena

Lemon Verbena is one of my favorite herbs that we grow at the farm. We grow lots of it to make our famous Lemon Verbena Lemonade, which is one of the primary ingredients in our other very famous drink — The Stone Hollow Farmstead Lemon Verbena Margarita!

In this CSA share, you received a tea bag with dried lemon verbena leaves from our 2020 crop. Since the herbs are dried, we will get a better result with a hot infusion.

Benefits

Lemon Verbena is a wonderful digestive aid and makes for the perfect after dinner tisane.

It’s caffeine free & has properties that relax our bodies, so it also promotes a good night’s rest.

Your tea bag can be steeped to make a delicious cup of hot tea or poured over ice with a twist of lemon and a sprig of your apple mint (in your herb bundle).

Method

  • Bring 6-8 oz of water to a boil.
  • Steep the bag of leaves for 4-5 minutes.
  • Remove bag (strain if any leaves got loose)

The distinctive lemony flavor is refreshing and uplifting. Enjoy!
